Motorola Edge 20 Pro India launch has now been confirmed. The smartphone was launched globally in late July, and later as Motorola Edge S Pro in China. The India launch for the Motorola Edge 20 Pro was confirmed by a tweet from the company's India Head. The global variant of the Motorola Edge 20 Pro features a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and is powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM.

The Country Head of Motorola India, Prashanth Mani (@PrashanthMani10), confirmed via a tweet that Motorola Edge 20 Pro will be launching in India soon. Mani, who was replying to a user's tweet, did not confirm the launch period or the India price of the flagship smartphone from Motorola. The phone will be part of the Motorola Edge 20 series in India that also includes the vanilla Motorola Edge 20 and the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion. Both these models were launched in India on August 17, priced starting at 29,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and 21,499 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, respectively

Launched in July, the Motorola Edge 20 Pro is priced at EUR 699.99 (roughly Rs. 60,900) for its 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. It is available in Indigo Vegan Leather and Midnight Blue colour options. The phone launched earlier this month in China as the Motorola Edge S Pro, with its price starting at CNY 2499 (roughly Rs. 28,600) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.

The smartphone gets a triple rear camera setup with a 108-megapixel primary sensor, along with a 16-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor with 5X high-resolution optical zoom and 50X Super Zoom telephoto lens. For selfies and video calls, Motorola Edge S Pro gets a 16-megapixel sensor.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. Onboard sensors include accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. Motorola Edge 20 Pro also gets a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 30W TurboPower fast charging.

Redmi 10 was launched in Malaysia on Wednesday following numerous teasers in the past week. The smartphone is expected to reach other markets soon, and is currently offered in three RAM + storage configurations. It comes with a 50-megapixel primary sensor for its quad rear camera setup, a 6.5-inch full-HD+ AdaptiveSync display with 90Hz refresh rate, and a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC. Redmi 10 gets a 5,000mAh battery that supports wireless charging and reverse wired charging. Xiaomi briefly published a blog post last wee0k that confirmed the device and leaked its key specifications.

Xiaomi announced the Redmi 10 via a post on its official blog. The blog post doesn't mention where the new smartphone will be available. However, a tweet by Xiaomi Malaysia mentions that the Redmi 10 will be launched in Malaysia in two configurations. There is no information regarding the India launch of the smartphone.

The blog post mentions that the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of the Redmi 10 is priced at $179 (roughly Rs. 13,300), the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at $199 (roughly Rs. 14,800), and the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at $219 (roughly Rs. 16,300). Redmi 10 will be available in Carbon Grey, Pebble White, and Sea Blue colour options. Launch markets have not been detailed on the blog post, but an August 20 availability was mentioned.

Malaysia may be among the launch markets, with the company's Twitter handle for the region sharing the same availability. It also mentioned the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is priced at MYR 649 (roughly Rs. 11,400) and the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at MYR 749 (roughly Rs. 13,100).

Redmi 10 runs MIUI 12.5, based on Android 11. It sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) AdaptiveSync display with 90Hz refresh rate. Its display also gets Reading Mode 3.0 and Sunlight display. Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage.

For optics, it gets a quad rear camera setup that is headlined by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. It also gets an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and two 2-megapixel sensors for macro and depth purposes. Selfies and video calls are handled by an 8-megapixel sensor. It also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and dual speakers. Redmi 10 also gets a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock.

Redmi 10 packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. However, Xiaomi will bundle a 22.5W fast charger in the box. The smartphone is also capable of 9W reverse wired charging. It measures 161.95x75.53x8.92mm and weighs 181 grams. Xiaomi is yet to reveal the full specifications of the newly launched smartphone but the released specifications match the specifications on the accidentally released blog post from last week.

Some iPhone users are complaining about a “No Service” issue after updating to iOS 14.7.1. The iOS update, which was released late last month, was meant to fix an Apple Watch unlocking bug and a zero-day vulnerability. However, several users have taken to Apple's forums to report that they started facing network coverage problems on their iPhone models after installing the iOS 14.7.1 update. The issue is apparently not limited to a specific model and seems to have impacted people using older phones including iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 as well newer iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 models.

Affected users have raised complaints about the “No Service” issue on Apple Community forums. Some of them have also reported the same problem on Apple Developer Forums.

Some users on the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and the iPhone 7 responded to the original forum post to confirm that the problem impacted their phones as well. The user complaints were initially noticed by 9to5Mac.

Apple has provided a support page specifically for users who normally get “No Service” or network “Searching” issues on their iPhone or iPad (Cellular version). The page recommends users to restart their device, check for a carrier settings update, and reset network settings if other recommendations don't work.

Some affected users said that they tried following the tips Apple provided on its support page but nothing worked for them.

“I have tried all the troubleshooting steps and still cannot get it [the iPhone] to work,” one user mentioned in a post on Apple Developer Forums.

A few users also commented on the 9to5Mac article that they were facing network issues even on the latest iPhone models — the iPhone 12 mini₹ 67,900 and iPhone 12 Pro.

Through iOS 14.7.1, Apple offered the bug fix for an issue that prevented Touch ID on iPhones from unlocking an Apple Watch with “Unlock with iPhone” turned on. The software also fixed a zero-day vulnerability for which the Indian government had also asked users to update their iPhones. However, it appears that while the iOS 14.7.1 update did address some of the previous issues, it has introduced the annoying network problem for several users.

Gadgets 360 has reached out to Apple for a comment on the matter and will update when the company responds.

This is notably not the first time when Apple has pushed a new public release of its iOS that has started causing issues for some users. In June, some users after updating to iOS 14.6 reported severe battery drain problems. Several iPhone users also complained about a similar battery power dropping issue after installing iOS 14.2 in December.

Given the number of complaints Apple has received on its forums, we can expect a fix to reach users in the coming days. It could be available in the form of iOS 14.7.2, though the Cupertino-based company is also reportedly working on iOS 14.8 that could come sometime before the anticipated iOS 15 release.
